1.We set it up with you
Most schools are live in under 30 minutes. We join a WhatsApp call with you and set up classes, fee types, sections and staff accounts together.
There is nothing to install. Skula runs in the web browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer.
2.Your pupils, from the Excel sheet you already have
Upload your class list as an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file. Skula matches your column headings to its own fields, you check the match, and you see a preview of exactly what will be saved — before anything is saved.
A row only needs a first name, a last name and a gender. Admission numbers you already use are kept; pupils without one get one generated. Rows with a problem are listed and skipped, never imported half-finished.
3.What parents still owe you
Set up your fee types once and assign them to whole classes at a time. Balances from your old books go onto each pupil's fee page as arrears — they show on the parent's statement and are collected like any other fee, with a receipt.
4.Terms, classes and subjects
A setup checklist takes you through your school profile, the academic session, classes and sections, and subjects. Ready-made Basic and JHS class lists mean you tick boxes instead of typing.
5.Teachers keep the lesson notes they already write
Lesson notes and schemes of work can be uploaded as they are — Word, PDF or a photo — and the head teacher opens and vets them in one place. Nobody has to retype a scheme of work to start using Skula.
Every teacher gets their own login and works with their own classes: attendance, marks and homework.
6.Bringing parents in
When you add a pupil, the parent's portal login is sent to their WhatsApp number or email. From their phone they see fee balances, receipts, attendance and results.
7.Library books
Upload your book list as a CSV file and the catalogue is ready to issue from.
8.Look around before you decide
The live demo is a working school with pupils, fees, marks and lesson notes already in it. Sign in as a teacher, an accountant or a parent and use it as they would.
